About us

Frimley Academy exists to maximise collaborative leadership potential across our health and care system. Launched in 2018, after the success of our homegrown 20/20 and Wavelength system leadership programmes. We offer distinctive development opportunities that bring together our people and partners from across health, social care, local councils, community groups, education, voluntary and charity sectors, police, army, and more. Our programmes provide the time and space to build leadership skills, strengthen relationships, understand the wider system, and drive collaborative approaches that improve outcomes for our residents and the communities we serve.

Over the past eight years, the Academy has built a reputation as a strategic system enabler. Our model blends expertly facilitated flagship programmes with the driving support of a small, embedded team, that maximises impact by shared learning, building networks and fostering an inclusive system culture of collaboration at every level. As a catalyst for system change, hundreds of our Alumni-led Change Challenges and Knotty Problems have delivered real improvements in care, including streamlined pathways, fewer delays, stronger partnerships and new ways of working.

We work intentionally across the whole system, with inclusion at our core. Through a coherent portfolio, including applied leadership development, Cultural Intelligence, coaching, action learning, peer and team learning, cross-sector facilitation, and wider partnership initiatives, we support the culture, trust and networks that enable integration, prevention, digital innovation and cross system collaboration. Our work also focuses on amplifying and accelerating Equality, Diversity and Inclusion by helping leaders build inclusive mindsets and environments where people and communities can thrive.
