Influenza outbreaks in care homes and residential care settings across NHS Frimley are managed by East Berkshire Primary Care (EBPC). If a flu outbreak is suspected, providers should first contact the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) Health Protection Team on 0344 225 3861. The Health Protection Team will refer the outbreak to EBPC on 03000 243 333. EBPC will then carry out patient assessments and arrange prescribing of antivirals as required. This process applies year-round, both within and outside of the CMO flu season, and during both in-hours and out-of-hours services
